Students who felt that there was a lack of a Christian presence in their high school might also be looking for a more faith-based environment. Easily avoidable mistakes, like not checking that the entire essay is copied into the application, can harm your application prospects. When an admissions officer doesn't get the whole story or notices a sloppy mistake, it changes how schools perceive you. If that occurs, I will get to the essays in queue, however I’ll cease as soon as I run out of time. We hope these essays encourage you as you write your own personal statement. Just bear in mind to be authentic and artistic as you share your story. Is there a way to find out what essay questions colleges are asking before you start the application process? Would it relieve some of your stress, or help you focus your search on fewer colleges, if you knew what essays you'll have to write? A good way to tie this into your essay is to focus on your school’s motto. Southeastern University’s motto is “Transforming minds. Engaging culture.” This means that our focus is on educating students to become influential, active members of society and giving them a Christ-centered foundation. Sometimes students neglect to copy over their entire essay into an application and only submit a portion of their work. When Warren was asked about haphazard mistakes students make, he recounted one college essay example. They need to think about those snapshots that have defined them. Another way to think about an essay topic is to think about those small moments that might even seem mundane on the surface, but that have had a big impact on their life. Describe a moment where it may seem that nothing exciting was happening to an outside observer, but that meant a great deal to the student. The idea behind the essay is for colleges to be able to learn something about the student that they couldn’t have learned through the rest of the application. After writing the rough draft, let the essay sit for a week or so, and then go back to polish it. Find a good envelope and leave it for them to read on their own time and terms. Then, to reiterate, wine and a walkâ€"very important. Whatever the reason, students can mention that these values align with their personal values. John Proctor is a Tragic Hero in The Crucible by Arthur...

Since the times of the ancient Greeks, tragic heroes have been used to enhance the meaning of a play or literary work. Any character cannot be described as tragic hero. Several key characteristics are necessary for the tragic hero to possess in order to be characterized as such. He must be high-ranked or have a high standing in the community. He must have a weakness or a tragic flaw and be involved in a struggle. In the end, that struggle will lead to his downfall. The other struggle Proctor faces is the social struggle that is going on throughout the whole town. The witchcraft hysteria has overtaken Salem, and Proctor struggles to stand out as an honest opposer of the hangings even though it may lead to his own downfall. nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;John Proctor’s last characteristic that makes him a tragic hero is that his struggles eventually end in his downfall.
